Glucosamine Sulfate & MSM

Statistically we will lose three inches of height by the time we are eighty. We have all seen our grandparents shrink. Bones don't shrink it's the loss of soft tissue between the bones. The good news is that soft tissue is the third fastest replicating cell type of the body. The body must have these key nutrients available to make this chemistry possible.

Building Block of Soft Tissue

Glucosamine Sulfate is an amino sugar (aminomonosaccharide) formed from glucose and the amino acid, glutamine. The body uses amino sugars to form the synovial membranes, ligaments and cartilage which make up all the joint structures of the body.

Glucosamine sulfate and MSM (a sulfur molecule) build mucopolysaccarides and chondroitin molecules.

Supplementing with chondroitin is not effective, it is a finished molecule. This would be like putting a finished product back on an assembly line. The body can only build chondroitin molecules and has no way of using a finished chondroitin molecule taken orally in supplement form.

Activates Glucosamine

MSM is a highly reactive sulfur molecule that is used to activate glucosamine sulfate. Without MSM available the body cannot go on to build chondroitin and mucopolysaccaride molecules rendering glucosamine sulfate useless.

MSM contributes to the repair of the collagen matrix of the skin (wrinkling). The benefits are smoother and more supple skin.

MSM is also used to reduce inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and injuries.
